Sweet Evil

"What if there were teens whose lives depended on being bad influences? This is life for sons and daughters of fallen angels in Sweet Evil.

Tenderhearted Southern girl, Anna Whitt, was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She’s aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn’t until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage, and her will-power is put to the test. He’s the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

A cross-country trip to meet her father forces Anna to face the reality that hope and love are not options for her kind. When she confronts her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?"

First off....Mhmmm that cover is freaking GORGEOUS and so accurately depicts the two main hotties in this book. Anna is sweet and innocent and a girl I could totally see myself being best friends with. Kaiden is obviously the sexy bad boy who is a victim of shitty circumstances. I fell in love with both characters and even the minor characters pulled at my heart strings. It's so rare for me to love every character that's in a book but in the world Wendy created I just couldn't help myself! All of them were so darn loveable.

The world Wendy created was magical and captivating. It was intense and interesting but also easily believable. I found myself easily flipping through the pages wanting to know more about the world, the characters, and the angel/demon lore. But don't get me wrong this isn't just another angel/demon book, this novel has so much more going on! The focus of the story is on the children of the twelve head demons or "dukes"; Anna being one of the twelve. But Anna differs from the other children because she is the product of a demon father and an angel mother.

I guess what it boils down to is this isn't like every other lame demon/angel book you've ever read. The character are endearing, the premise is new and refreshing, and did you look at that cover ; )
